The award-winning film “MICHAEL” hit the big screen at the Martin Luther King, Jr.
Memorial on Friday, August 21st to close the Summer 2026 “Films at the Stone” Series.
Covering the extraordinary career of mega popstar Michael Jackson, “MICHAEL”
quickly became a fan favorite when it was released in April 2026. Movie lovers from
across the DMV joined us for a beautiful night out under the stars, singing and dancing
along to the beats that have become unmistakable cultural connections.
‍
Hosted each summer on the third Fridays in June, July and August, “Films at the Stone”
creates and encourages space for connection, engagement, and communal joy for
residents in the Greater DMV Community. The Summer 2026 Series also featured a
screening of the family comedy, “Zootopia 2.” Thank you to everyone who joined us for
this year’s series. We are already looking forward to seeing you again in Summer 2027
when we return for another summer of film, fun, and friendship.
‍
Stay tuned!
