The Memorial Foundation announced the return of Films at the Stone of Hope on the
National Mall for the summer 2026 season. This free event combines family-friendly
fun, interactive learning, and good-natured film entertainment for unforgettable evenings
under the stars. Hosted on the third Fridays in June, July, and August, the 2026 season

“Films at the Stone continue to be the highlight of our summer programming, bringing
our community together for a relaxing and enjoyable evening at one of DC’s most
visited National Memorials,” said Harry E. Johnson, Sr., President and CEO of The
Memorial Foundation, Inc. “Every year, we look forward to welcoming families, friends,
and visitors alike to join us for these memorable evenings.”

Film screenings are hosted at 8pm on the lawn adjacent to the bookstore at the Martin
Luther King, Jr. Memorial, located at 1964 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC
