“Films at the Stone” Series Returns with Free Movies Celebrating Stories of Courage, Hope, and Justice

The Memorial Foundation (TMF) announced the 2025 lineup for the “Films at the Stone” summer series at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. This free annual event brings together families and community members for a season of inspiring films reflecting Dr. King’s enduring values of courage, justice, hope, and love.

"Films at the Stone continues to be a cornerstone of our summer programming, inviting everyone to experience powerful stories in a beautiful setting,” said Harry E. Johnson, President and CEO of The Memorial Foundation, Inc. “We look forward to welcoming families, friends, and visitors to join us for more memorable evenings."

Screenings will take place on the lawn adjacent to the bookstore at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, located at 1964 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20004, on the National Mall. The event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring a blanket or low-profile lawn chair. Parking is limited; public transportation is recommended.

DESPICABLE ME 4: Friday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m.

MOANA 2: Friday, July 18 at 8:00 p.m.

Wicked reveals the untold story of two unlikely friends in Oz whose bond is tested by power, destiny, and the choices that define them as "good" or "wicked."
